Our Board of Directors is a governing body comprised of dedicated volunteers specifically interested in the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. The Board represents various aspects of the deaf and hearing loss community as well as the professional business community. Our board members are as follows:

Executive Committee
COMMITTEE OVERSIGHT & RESPONSIBILITIES – The Committee shall have oversight and responsibility of and for the following:
- Human Resources Issues
- Operations
- Policies (substantial changes will also go to the full Board)
- By-Laws
- Management of the strategic plan
- Performance review of the Executive Director
- Management of board recruitment process
Finance & Resource Development
COMMITTEE OVERSIGHT & RESPONSIBILITIES – The Committee shall have oversight and responsibility of and for the following:
- Participate in the annual budget development process
- Provide financial analysis of the organization to the Board
- Review internal financials, with staff, prior to Board meetings
- Develop the annual financial goals for the strategic plan, with staff
- Participate with the Organizational Sustainability Committee on fundraising and sponsorship activities
- Review program initiatives for financial feasibility
Organizational Sustainability
COMMITTEE OVERSIGHT & RESPONSIBILITIES – The Committee shall have oversight and responsibility of and for the following:
- Lead the planning of new and expanding DILA services, with staff, for DILA
- Coordinate with Finance and Resource Development Committee as to financial strength of each program
- Lead the marketing efforts at the corporate and grassroots levels
- Organize grassroots fundraising events
- Collaborate with other partners (service delivery providers, advocates, etc.)
- Ensure consistency between programs and the strategic plan
Board Vacancies
We are currently looking for well-qualified individuals to serve on the Board and Committee Members. Committee members can be members of the community that do not wish to serve on the board of directors but has an interest in supporting the agency in their mission by providing additional resources and insights.
