In this five-week course, (9 classes), students will learn basic sign classes to carry on simple conversations with deaf individuals. Role playing and games designed to teach basic signs are used as tools. Students will also learn about Deaf Culture. By the end of the course, a sampling of skills learned are: manual alphabet, numbers , introducing yourself and exchanging personal information.
All classes will be held at Deaf Independent Living Association, Inc., 806 Snow Hill Rd, Salisbury, MD 21804 on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6pm-8pm, September 3 through October 1, 2024.
