Want to learn American Sign Language, (ASL) or know someone who does? Then register for DILA’s American Sign Language Level I, five week course, taught twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 10 through October 17, 2019 from 6-8pm at DILA, 806 Snow Hill Rd, Salisbury, MD. Students will learn to carry on an everyday conversation with deaf individuals. Role playing and games designed to teach basic signs are used as tools. By the end of the class, a sampling of the skills you will learn are: Manual Alphabet, numbers, introducing yourself, talking about family, discussing the home, office and more. Cost is $225 and includes textbook/DVD, Signing Naturally. If you already have the textbook/DVD then cost is $150. Minimum of 10 students required for class. Space is limited so register early.
