ASL Level 1 Classes

Classes are taught by a deaf instructor, students will learn about Deaf Culture and how to carry on an everyday conversation with deaf individuals. Role playing and games designed to teach basic signs are used as tools. By the end of class, a sampling of the skills you will learn are: Manual Alphabet, numbers, introducing yourself and exchanging personal information.

January 13 – February 13, 2020 every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8pm. Cost is $225 & includes textbook. If you have the textbook cost is $150. In case of inclement weather make up classes will be held on February 18th & 20th. All classes held at Deaf Independent Living Association, 806 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, Maryland.

Once registered online please submit your check or money order for the required fee or call the office to pay by credit card. Please note all credit card payments will have a 3.5% processing fee added. All registrations and payments must be received by January 6, 2020. Refund Policy: please notify the instructor by January 11, 2020 in writing that you must drop the class

We encourage students that pass level 1 to continue to learn by taking a future level class 2 when offered as it will build on what was learned in level 1.
